The entire MSNBC-Morning Joe-GOP panel is shitting in their pants right now
A reporter from Rolling Stone did an expose about how the entire "town hall protester" movement was a bullshit front by the usual GOP operatives -- I swear, you could hear the crap loading in their collective pants. From Zuckerman to Bartalomo to Buchanan, it was if the reporter has made a "your mama..." comment. It was classic! Hope you saw it. Hope it makes it to YouTube.

2. Damn, I missed it by THAT much...I had to switch over to GMA at 8 am
cuz hubby hates MJ. Had to watch the story about the shopaholic who was $300 grand in debt...

What did Pat actually SAY? And Mika...did she sniff and dismiss the whole thing?

5. Mika just poo-poo'd the whole notion. Pat was even better...
Pat had to minimize the entire thing, another classic GOP play -- reduce the argument to an absurdly simple premise which no one was actually saying; "You're telling me that Dick Army is responsible for getting all these people out to town hall meetings? The GOP couldn't even get people out to support McCain!" as if the two had anything to do with each other. First of all, the reporter recited the "family tree" of these so-called grass roots orgs, and Dick Army's "Freedom Works" was just ONE of the organizations he listed, but Pat had to reduce the entire argument to "Dick Army did this?" Classic GOP re-direction and argument-by-ridicule. They learned it from the likes of Dick Army and KKKarl Rove, fer chrissake!

6. Can't wait to read the article. Lays out the architecture of the campaign of lies and outbursts.
And Lawrence O'Donnell asked great questions "did they even consider going after the plan for what was actually in it - as they did in 93-94?"

No.

4. That was great
hey were so shocked, I had to wonder if they don't watch Rachel Maddow.
Poor Pat Buchanan pretended he didn't know about their 'operations'.
Truth will out! What a bunch of LIARS. You know the really pathetic part is that the lunatics were always a minority at these Town Hall meetings. They just made the most noise, deliberately disrupted the meetings and received the most press coverage 'under orders' from Rethugs bosses.

For those of us who actually watched more than a few of those covered, we know the difference between spin and truth.

10. New health care debate rules. First person to say "illegal aliens" loses the debate.
Today's biggest loser......Pat Buchanan!

What a shocker.

But really, if the best comeback he has for "why haven't the Republicans ever tried to do anything about health care?" is "illegal aliens can walk into a clinic in California!", he loses.

What about the 48 million AMERICANS with no insurance, jackass.

"illegal aliens can walk into a clinic in California!...and have their babies..."

The brief sabbatical didn't help Pat come to grips with his racism. Maybe he and Lou Dobbs should start a traveling road show of stupidity.

17. Do you mean the author
of 'how you can kill al qaeda in 3 easy steps'?

He doesn't seem so bad; I thought he'd be terrible but all he's saying is that ordinary people can translate the stories of victims of terrorism into many languages and disseminate. I find it a little odd that he was at the white house on 9-11, however. Cynically I could say that his message seems to be an attempt at crowd-sourcing propaganda, but his angle seems to be to widen the divide between terrorist extremists and people who might be angry at America but not violent, to cause the latter to reject the former completely.

12. When Buchanan says, 'everyone HAS healthcare now; the question is how are we going to pay for it'
I think the answer that Lawrence O'donnell didn't give, but perhaps should have, is that the current method of paying for it now is to take the last drops of blood, the life savings, the 401K, the house, and the last penny from anyone with a family member who is sick or dying, and to let the insurance companies walk away from serious illness anytime they want to.

15. They really have to have more liberals on that show...
O'Donnell is the only balanced person on Morning Blow. The rest of them are rabid republicans or, like Mika, just a hairdo with cleavage. It would be great to see something worth watching.

I'm sorry I missed this interview but I can't stand to sit through an entire show for ten minutes of sanity.

18. First, they came for health care . . .
then, they came for cap and trade . . .

From Rolling Stone article:

As DeMint told an August teleconference of nearly 20,000 town-hall activists, "If we can stop him on this, the administration won't be able to go on to cap and trade, card check and the other things they want to do."

23. A little earlier he chastised them for bloviating about Grayson
He said that it was very helpful in getting healthcare reform passed that they obsessed about the non-consequential like Grayson and ignored what was actually being written into the bill.

When they pressed him for details he said - "Do your own research!"

He is amazing. If there was ever anyone who deserves his own show, it is Lawrence O'Donnell.

34. I wondered if Move On would get a mention
It's become an article of faith on the right that Move On is some kind of front organization. The right can't quite make out any connections between Dick Armey and the network of elves and gremlins who staged the town hall protests. But when Move On sponsored a little contest for folks to submit their own political ads, one of the submissions had a pretty good comparison between the tactics of the Bush administration and the tactics employed by Hitler during the rise of the Nazis in Germany. Well, that cinched it for the Dictionary Browns (Quiet, Moonbat!) on the right: Move On was sponsoring seditious lies about the commander in chief during war time! No, it was a submission to a contest. But it has since passed into right wing lore that Move On is nothing more than a collection of dirty fucking hippies, every bit as bad as ANSWER and ACORN (the newest entry into the right's pantheon of pinkos).
