Tom Price: We’ll Scrap Grayson Resolution If He Apologizes
Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) is holding off on his resolution slamming Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) for his "die quickly" remarks, explaining that Republicans "would give Congressman Grayson an opportunity to do the right thing and recognize the comments that he made were disrespectful to the House and to the decorum."

Why’d Price introduce the resolution?

"That was the avenue that was defined by the Democrats in charge when someone breaches the decorum," Price said. "So we chose the same vehicle."

Isn’t there a problem here? Price, like 166 other Republicans, voted against the Wilson resolution.

Meanwhile, the NRCC has set up a fund dedicated to whatever GOP candidate gets in the race against Grayson.

3. Grayson will simply tell Tommy to bring it on - Tommy's measure is only going to crash and burn
and they get to look stupid a third time.

5. Dig in your heels, Mr. Grayson
Let them scream and kick and hold their collective breaths. Eventually, someone will dangle another set of shiny keys and a fresh poutrage will be born.

6. Price is using false analogy (what else is new for repugs)
Representative Grayson in no way breached decorum, which is the reason Wilson was reprimanded. What Grayson said was said in a respectful tone entirely in keeping with the rules. Hell, if every member of the House was called upon to apologize for voicing his/her opinion, that's all they'd be doing.

8. Republicans upset about decorum?
It's fine if Cheney says, "Fuck you," to Leahy.
It's fine if Wilson yells, "You lie," as the President is speaking.

I'm sure there are more examples of fine republican decorum.

What hypocrites.

Stick to your guns, Mr. Grayson. We're counting on you to represent all of us to that gang of arrogant crooks.

9. I want to see this resolution introduced
Edited on Thu Oct-01-09 08:23 AM by LTR
First, it makes the GOP look like a bunch of wussies (not too tough).

Second, if any Dems vote for it, put 'em on record.

Third, the GOP doesn't have the votes to take it anywhere, hence the real reason for the withdrawal of the resolution.

11. Rachel had a clip of at least eight Republicans saying worse on the House floor
Show that clip on the floor and then ask if they believe decorm was breached..Grayson was over the top and probably should not have been said but it didn't hold a candle to what Republicans have been saying for months now..
