MLB? Say it ain't so.

I'm distraught. I had no idea that we're not protected against the government sanctioned monopolistic practices of major league baseball. This country is now officially FUBAR. I wasn't being protected, while baseball went hog wild I could have been hit by a line drive, or worse. Congress has degraded into a a prostitution ring where the prostitutes come with instructions.

At least our wonderful country would never give monopolistic protection to the only concern that really matters to everyone, Health care.

1. WTF are you talking about?
And who cares about baseball, there are so many more important things to worry about.

2. The sarcasm tag bothers me
It's messed up comedy. You know, only health care providers and MLB are the only concerns not subject to the Sherman anti-trust act.

3. The NFL has a type of anti-trust exemption.
The NFL was granted an Anti-trust exemption in order to complete the merger of the NFL and the AFL. This exemption does not prohibit other business ventures, such as the USFL, but it does prevent an uninterested party from suing the NFL under anti-trust laws, the way that AT&T was years ago.

4. which unfortunately give congress the power
to meddle in baseball, which imo is about the most absurd use of federal power ever seen.
