Healthcare reform is the barometer of the health of our nation.
If we cannot have a representative government that can vote for the benefit of the people over the benefit of the corporations and the insurance companies, then our country is on its death bed. Presidents and leaders have warned us for centuries about the dangers involved in being too close to corporations. Have we finally reached that point?

If we cannot pass healthcare reform, it is a symbol of a much more critical situation within our so-called "democracy". We would no longer have a government of the people, by the people, or for the people. This fight is a barometer, a measure, of where we stand as a nation. Are we going to survive or are we going to die? Be careful of the medicine that you take.

1. Absolutely. It will be the hallmark of a completely dysfunctional government.

Since the Congress is largely corrupt, venal, and self-serving by serving the interests of their
corporate masters and benefactors to the detriment of we the people, prospects are poor for passage of meaningful health care reform so: the Republic envisioned by its framers is sadly on its deathbed. :D
