"Capitalism: A Love Story" is being downrated by Freeps on IMDB

per usual, they are downrating and freeping the message boards on imdb. Not that it really matters, but it is the most-frequented website for film reviews. add your rating to offset the freep BS please.

Ok, here you go. The opposite of Capitalism (private ownership of property, profit incentive for work)is Communism (common property, profit returned to the state, needs met by state). Quite simply any money Mr Moore makes over and above his immediate needs, paying the rent on a modest house, having a reliable car, basic food and clothing for his family, public school for his kids, should be returned to an entity that is better suited to utilizing those funds than he is. Most likely that would be a charity of some sort in our current environment since Government is fairly inefficient.

If this guy is so ashamed of Capitalism then he should return the gains from this movie to the people, like me. For example, without our suffering in the current economic climate, without the greed of various banking and mortgage companies, and the paid politicans that supported them, he wouldn't have a movie to make and an audience with a keen interest in paying to see if played out on the silver screen. Therefore, we should all share in the bounty that this film will surely produce.

Now, you say maybe he won't make any money and why should I profit when I didn't take any risk or directly contribute to the effort? I'd say you're a capitalist whore and demand an invenstigation into your finances and protest outside your house.

I swear, it's like they follow their moronic hero Ayn Rand and blather on and on and ON endlessly, loaded with talking points, ad hominems, opinions posing as facts, facts they made up, weight snark, all things "Red Menace" which they WILL JUST NOT LET GO OF, etc, etc, etc. Paragraphs and paragraphs where they could have merely expressed themselves in one sentence: "I don't ask 'Will this help?', but instead I ask 'How rich will this make ME?'"
