For those who enjoy legal entertainment: Orly Taitz v. Judge Land
Her latest filing.

Apparently, she suspects him of ex parte discussions with AG Holder, collusion with President Obama based on stock holdings of Microsoft and Comcast and yes, uses the term "batshit crazy".

Enjoy!

37. A sort of Survivor. Blagojevich, Sanford, Vitter, Palin, ORLY.
They're all confined to a very small property in Libya, where they are forced to Keraoke until they actually decide to accept a brave rescue from Gaddafi, accompanied by Hugo Chavez.

46. It'll be a short-running show: now comes Orly Taitz before the bench, asking the judge to recuse
himself from a moot case, in which the plaintiff has stopped action and fired the attorney, after which the attorney sought to be and was removed as counsel -- all in response to the judge's order that counsel show cause why she ought not be sanctioned for filing a frivolous suit, and all begging the judge to pile contempt penalties atop Rule 11 sanctions

3. Right....
Holder's stock holdings somehow influenced Judge Land because of "defacto" President Obama's personal relationship with Bill Gates. Or something like that -- it's hard to follow the stream of consciousness and random connections that litigious freak show is spewing here.

I can't wait to read Judge Land's response. My guess is he's love to pass this case on to someone else rather than deal with her. Of course she spins this as someone else is out to get her -- it's the paranoia thing. She needs to go back on her meds.

10. And she's totally wrong about the law.
Judges give sanctions all the time. They have specific authority to hear such matters. He issued a show cause order, which put her on notice to appear and answer for her conduct. It's possible she could have behaved herself in response, come in with some kind of rational approach, and he would give her a lecture and hit her with $500, not $10,000. But Noooooooooooo! She had to file a Motion to Recuse, accusing him of things that are truly nothing but speculation.

I've been saying she'd be disbarred by mid 2010, and she's making me look good.

20. Neither....
...it is an anonymous petition to have her disbarred and not just a CalBar complaint ~~ the small form that can be filed by a client or anyone. What is pending is a very ugly petition to yank her bar card.

I think this is a working link to the petition to disbar her:

38. Thanks, that was great reading -- and I am not a lawyer, but ...
that was written sufficiently clearly that a legal education is not needed to grasp the import of it. Ms. Taitz has been very busy -- a shame no challenge to the legitimacy of Bu**sh**'s "election" ever saw as much court time.

24. I haven't read it, but I can imagine.
I've been shaking my head at her all year. Most people do not realize how bizarre her conduct is for an attorney. She lacks the knowledge one gains from having been in court before. It's obvious she has no idea what she's doing.

28. She truly is clueless on paper and in a courtroom.
Bizarre is a very apt description of her conduct. One usually does not see this unless there is some mega problem with the lawyer in addition to no experience. I cannot imagine showing such disrespect. Her conduct is just so un-lawyer like.

11. Indeed. A federal district judge wields great power.
And it is almost without significant oversight. 99.9% of what they do will not be appealed, and most of what they have appealed will be sustained on appeal.

33. Yeah because Judge Land talked to Eric Holder
who owns Microsoft stock and works for Obama who is a friend of Bill Gates so therefore Judge Land is prejudiced against Orly. And he said some mean things about her and because he mentioned the birthers and some people think the birthers are bat shit crazy, Judge Land is prejudiced against her and thinks she's bat shit crazy because he called the birthers by the pejorative term birthers that implies that the birthers are bat shit crazy. And he dismissed Captain Rhodes petition almost immediately without calling for evidence even though it wasn't a hearing for discovery or evidence and Orly had asked for an expedited decision which really means she wanted to show evidence but didn't want the defense to show evidence or respond to her evidence. The real truth is that Captain Rhodes wanted to serve her country in her role as an Army Captain and medical doctor but wanted to be sure her orders were legitimately from the legitimate Commander in Chief not the defacto Commander in Chief Barack Hussein Obama who is not a natural born citizen because the only birth certificate he has ever shown is a photoshop from the State of Hawaii. But none of this matters because Judge Land is out to get Orly because Eric Holder told him to and in fact, has told all of the judges in the United States to dismiss all of her motions and cases because Obama and his brown shirted thugs told Holder to get to all of the judges so that Orly would never have a chance to present evidence that Obama was born in Kenya.

8. Oh dear
According to the certificate of service, Orly hasn't gotten her pro hac vice petition approved yet. She isn't supposed to be filing things in court until that little procedural hurdle is cleared. Where is her local Georgia counsel in all this?

At any rate, if this is her pleading to show the court why she shouldn't be fined $10,000, it's highly inadequate. I hope she brings her checkbook next time she appears in court, or has arranged for someone to drive her car back to an office or someplace, because she's probably going to be spending some time as a guest of the federal marshals.

25. I have no clue how she got docs filed when she was not yet pro hac vice counsel...
...but there may be some procedure that allows one to file while the petition is pending. I never had to do that in feddie court...a pro hac vice ...so I am not sure.

I was reading on the registrar of actions on a major case the other day looking for a pleading I wanted to get copied, and there was some filing from an out of jurisdiction atty seeking permission to do something while her pro hac vice petn was pending. Now, of course, I cannot recall what the hell case I was looking at!

Don't forget to read her affidavit at the end, either. Yes, that's right, she signs her own affidavit that she's acting in good faith and such and has the gall to attach it as an exhibit like it's actual evidence. Like putting "affidavit" on the top of a page MAGICALLY makes that which is written on such page any less BS. Such exhibit almost contained more  than the pleading before it. But not quite.

I read the filing AND the bar complaint against her in its entirety. Well worth the time spent

Protip for those just now acquainting themselves with Oily Taint: Read the bar complaint linked upthread, in full. There are some true gems in there. My personal favorite was Oily Taint trying to pass off Dred Scott as valid law.
