Should the "don't ask, don’t tell" policy for gays in the military be eliminated?

Current results:

Absolutely. Our gay troops are forced to live a lie, while putting their lives at risk to defend our freedom.
50% (819 votes)
Yes. Australia, Israel, Canada and other countries allow their gay servicemembers to serve openly. Why not us?
12% (199 votes)
Maybe. If that’s what Congress wants, then so be it.
1% (14 votes)
No. Open homosexuality will weaken our volunteer force by hurting unit cohesion and morale. A period of war is not the time.
36% (590 votes)

Total votes: 1622

uhc comment: I voted Absolutely.

2. I voted in three of their polls.
Gays, prisoner abuse photos, and smoking in the military.

I guess they want me to open up my cookies to them as they won't let me vote. The American Legion around here is too reigh wing for me so I don't bother with them. :hi:

4. I joined them years ago, but they are just not my kind of people.
I wanted to help vets - they have too much social stuff going on, ang a very conservative agenda.
