100 volunteers + 400 apple trees = 12,000 pounds of apples
For Connecticut Food Bank. The owner of Hallock Orchard in Litchfield County, CT donated them. It was a great way to spend 2 hours on a Sunday afternoon. Everyone was having fun. There's a section of the orchard which didn't get picked but students from a nearby prep school will return during the week to pick them for the food bank.
