Meme of the Day 091005

When the history of human politics is seen with sufficient perspective it is obvious that the liberalisation of human societies is a relentless and inevitable historic process.

2. Sorry. I'll translate into English.

We win, in the end. Any conservative gains are merely retracements in the path of liberalisation.

We win.

Over and over and over and over.

We may feel, on a day to day basis, that we still have a long way to go, but man, if you look over your shoulder to where we have come from, it's a hell of a view.

We win.

We always do.

3. No translation necessary for me.
However, the are many many arguments to the "Good always wins out" theory.

If the theory were true, how do you explain that we now have more people living in poverty than ever before in the modern history of this country?

5. Today's poverty
Keep watching. We win. This is not a finished, settled situation. It's one moment in an evolving situation.

For the public to wake up to the lies that they have been fed, there will need to be yet more pain. We still win, though. We've been winning for millennia, and we're not going to stop winning anytime soon.

Just give our opponents more rope, sit back and enjoy the show. There policies don't work.

The biggest advertisement for liberalism has been the eight years of the Bush administration. They controlled the White House and both houses of the legislature, but we still win. They just don't have anything in their locker.

Sarah Palin? Seriously.

I thought that it was going to be harder.

We win.

And I agree wholeheartedly.

7. I think that you've missed some of the finer points of memetics.
Specifically, that a meme has to be transferrable person to person, and is therefore usually short and simple.
