he represents a relatively conservative, rural area of Minnesota - though apparently not a bat shit crazy one like Michelle Bachmann's district.

Fortunately, he has the military credentials to get by with it. He also took off on a tea bagger who called him a Communist by pointing out that, given the years he spent in the service, he really took offense to that.
