Charlie Cook Question
What is his track record on polling?
Is he GOP disinformation like the Ras polls?

1. Nah, he's pretty good at knowing which way the wind is blowing.
What's he saying?

4. No, he's very good. Better than Stu Rothenberg. I've met both and know Charlie.

He's a straight shooter.

Except for that time I caught him eating breakfast at the McDonald's on River Rd instead of Tastee Diner.

AND - he took his son for a weekend at Fenway two years ago - late season Yankees series in which the Sox got totally stomped by the Yanks. Boy, was he bummed! But it was his kid's first time at Fenway, so it was a big deal to them both.

5. His track record closer to elections is very good. In his previous
career he was a strategist for Democratic candidates.

6. Most of the time you can trust Charlie Cook and he is one the most
trusted political analyst(Polls). However, there have been
a couple of times which were very specific. During GWB first
run for election there were times he appeared to be pushing
a Bush win. As I indicated most people trust his ability
to predict.

There was something about the way he handled the situation
today on MSNBC that eerily reminded me of those other instances.
He appeared to be pushing the GOP win a little more than
it deserves.

Since, over the years, I have made it a point to follow him,
I notice subtle changes or suggestions by Cooke.
