I know it's not a "real" bombing; it's more like a double shooting with two huge hyper-speed bullets. But they are OUR two huge hyper-speed bullets. Shot with a trajectory for maximum impact and surface damage it's like a dry bombing; like target practice on the next biggest piece of dirt close to the earth and of course WE the US (aka bomb everything, bomb again, if it moves bomb it, if it doesn't move bomb it State of America.) had to be the first to bomb the moon.

When NYC went nuts over the Air Force Once photo op I was really unimpressed with the locals response until I saw the pictures and description of the actual flight. AF1 close to the ground with fighter escorts would worry me; I'm a pilot and there is no good news in that view. So indeed someone needed to get fired and some deputies deputy go volunteered.

This is another one of those face in palm moments. Couldn't we let someone else do it?

On the other hand, I could choose to believe it's all being faked out in the Sahara Dessert, close to the place where they faked the moon landings and walks. Hey, that's a happy place. Let's go there.

God damn, I wish the media wouldn't have went for the splashy headline and attached the word "bomb" to what is actually going on. Without that word no one would have given a shit. It would have been a minor blip on the DU radar. But nooooo... they had to throw the catchy word out and get the scientific illiterates, spiritualists, astro-pacifists, and any other kook out there agitated for no fucking reason.

If there's any symbolism here it's imposed by the media with their constant talk about "bombing the Moon' and has nothing to do with reality. Think of it as a geological excavation rather than a "bombing".

Do any of these anti-knowledge kooks wonder where all of those big dents in the moon (we call them craters here on planet Earth) came from?
