OK, that's it! I'm done. I am leaving

for Portugal!

Flying tonight to Lisbon for an art intensive program of Portuguese art and architecture with the director of the New Britain CT Museum of Art as lecturer.

I'll also be in Coimbra (where the University is), stopping by some Roman ruins on our way to Porto. Returning Oct. 18.

You guys watch the store here while I'm gone...I hope to read really good news in the International Herald Tribune while sipping my Portuguese coffee for breakfast...

8. Maybe not this time, but I AM planning an art intensive with a couple of friends in Florence next

spring...you can join our little brigade of art, food and wine lovers. On the list of visits (besides the Uffizi and the Accademia)Convent of San Marco, Santa Trinita, Cappela Brancacci (Massacio!), Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo), Pitti Palace, Casa Guidi (the Brownings home)...
