DNC response, dayam...
I pulled this from Huffington Post today:

"UPDATE: Either sensing an opening to cast the Republican Party as actively rooting against America, or just fed up with the stream of negative responses, the Democratic National Committee put out an unusually blunt statement Friday morning. The gist: that the GOP sides with the terrorists.

"The Republican Party has thrown in its lot with the terrorists -- the Taliban and Hamas this morning -- in criticizing the President for receiving the Nobel Peace prize," wrote DNC Communications Director Brad Woodhouse. "Republicans cheered when America failed to land the Olympics and now they are criticizing the President of the United States for receiving the Nobel Peace prize -- an award he did not seek but that is nonetheless an honor in which every American can take great pride -- unless of course you are the Republican Party. The 2009 version of the Republican Party has no boundaries, has no shame and has proved that they will put politics above patriotism at every turn. It's no wonder only 20 percent of Americans admit to being Republicans anymore - it's an embarrassing label to claim."

Good for them in reacting with a spine! :fistbump:

8. No, just seemingly-impatient grumps
who are forgetting just how f**ked up a world Obama inherited and how he doesn't have a magic wand to wave away the devastation of the last 8 years. Geeze Louise, he's been in office ALMOST 10 months! Why aren't all our problems solved? :nopity:

These things take time!

Don't you remember the crowds sobbing on election night? That meant something and still does. The man represents hope and the better angels of our nature. Besides, if they can give it to Kissinger, they can give it to Obama!

9. Not really...
...not yet. At the moment, the DNC response is a well-deserved tit-for-tat response that the Republicans have earned many, many times over. So many times, in fact, that I honestly think anyone reading this response will recognize that is is essentially holding up a mirror to the dunderheads.

I do agree that we need to be careful. We do not want to always start with such a position, i.e. if you criticize anything American you are anti-American. It's just that in this particular case I think it is an appropriate statement.

17. Sometimes you have to speak to people in the language they
understand. For far too long, Democrats treated the rabid right in this country as if we all spoke the same language, even if we disagreed. That didn't work, as it has been more than apparent, that the language of reason is a foreign language to them.

All that's happening now, set in motion by Rep. Grayson and Michael Moore and a few others, is that people have realized you have to sometimes stop talking reasonably with people who will believe that is weak, and speak to them in their own language. I have to say, it appears to be working. For the first time in my memory, rather than the Democrats being on the defensive, a position they chose to in for far too long, the lunatic fringe is finally where they belong, attempting to defend their lunacy, something that should have happened a long, long time ago.

Anyone who believes we should continue to be intimidated by these imbeciles should look at the state of the country. It is the patriotic duty of everyone to tell the truth about who these people are. They really do NOT like this country. And that is a fact.

anyone else found the identity of the DNC person referred to or a better source? I am confused! (But will be THRILLED if this turns out to be real.)

19. He stopped short of saying what is really going on.
The Republican Party has become the tool of anti-American corporate and foreign interests and that is the truth. They ran our country for the last decade and don't understand that they are no longer in power. I personally think they should be investigated for treason, but I wonder which will be the hero prosecutor who will step up to the plate and do it?
