Limbaugh to judge the 2010 Miss America Pageant
LAS VEGAS -- The Miss America Organization says Rush Limbaugh will be a judge for the 2010 pageant in Las Vegas.

It will be held at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Jan. 30, broadcast live on TLC.

Limbaugh will be on the panel of seven judges that will help decide who will be crowned Miss America 2010.

I think it's riffing off the fact that Rush Limbaugh, aka Jeff Christie, was possibly arrested for a homosexual tryst in an Atlanta public bathroom, while now following a party who actually does hate gay people.

And, the thread, of course, makes fun of the outdated and sexist tendencies of the right wing and their meat... er... beauty pageants.

Leastwise, mitchtv, you can rest assured that I don't hate anyone because they're gay. I might hate a person who happens to be gay because he/she acted like an ass. I also hate meat... er... beauty pageants (speaking as an attractive feminist).

There is a disturbing tendency around here with straits to claim that anyone we hate is somehow a homo, acts of homophobia are commonly chalked up as committed by closet cases, Thus all homophobic acts are the result of Gay self hatred, and we good straits are exonerated.
