1. Yeah, in the media, it's all "this is bad news for Obama." At least on DU
most people are happy for the president!

3. Naw.
I am sure it's all over the place. As it should be. We are people with opinions. And we have every right to express them. :)

6. I'm sure he didn't
To be honest I think he's a little bit shaken by the honor. Remember, when he was first President-Elect he was getting freaked out about people standing up at attention when he walked into a room.

9. One of the problems with having a functioning brain..
Some of us just can't turn it on and off like a light switch.

I'm often plagued with insomnia thanks to that fact.

15. Totally agree.
This is a NON-issue.

I'm a harsh and vocal critic of Obama's "Centrist" administration and Pro-Corporate policies as there is on DU, but
A Democratic President was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
This is a GOOD thing, but changes nothing in the policy or direction department.

This is an issue not worthy of debate or comment beyond
"Congratulation, President Obama."

There IS no debate about "deserving" or "winning".
The Nobel Committee is a private organization.
They can and will award their prize to anyone they feel deserves it.
We do NOT get a vote.

Congratulations to President Obama and his family.
