Another Virgin Mary sighting...

Virgin Mary in a window. Do you see what they see?

Here we go again.

Another holy sighting.

This time, Greg and Debbie Sapp see an image of the Virgin Mary in the deposits likely left by condensation on a broken window.

It was broken by a rock slung by a lawn mower nearly four years ago at their Jessup home.


At first, it was just a cracked window, but over time the image formed and one day Greg Sapp spotted the image.

He and his wife consider the image a miracle.

"I don't know how we kept the lid on it this long," he said.

But there is always the risk of an overreaction to some images that resemble Mary, and the Sapps say they don't want that.

"The Cheetos, the burned toast, the swirl of chocolate," she said. "There's a burned spot in a frying pan somewhere people are flocking to."

They keep the window in the temperature- and humidity-controlled, windowless room with a digital camera trained on it. There's a computer feed of images.

People can subscribe to a video feed or view the images free on the Internet at visionsofthevirginmary.com, she said.

I have not been there though.

is paying us a visit from a galaxy far far away.

. . . the catholics do seem to go out of their way to worship some strange shit. (I don't think this is bashing because the rest of my family is catholic--this is more an observation of someone who's seen it up close and personal.)

Are we all stupid for not capitalizing on this? I may have to look into opening an eBay store devoted to the ridiculous because there is obviously a vast market begging to be abused er. . .tapped.

of course some of the images in things like grease spots and toast are a bit odd....

coverage too. There are clips of people crying and praying at this empty doctor's office window. Are people's lives really that empty and desperate that they would journey to a parking lot to catch a glimpse of an empty doctor's office window with a smudge?
