SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A Sacramento man has been sentenced to 16 months in state prison for blowing up a cat in south Sacramento.

David Hui-Biao Yang pleaded guilty to a felony charge of torturing and killing an animal, District Attorney Jan Scully said Friday.

Prosecutors said Yang bound the legs of a live cat, placed it under a traffic cone and inserted an ignited explosive device into the cone.

Yang was then seen laughing as he observed the mangled remains of the animal, prosecutors said.

Part of me goes with the nurture. I spent years working with children whose sense of right and wrong were twisted by parents like this scum.

If I favored the death penalty, I would just have he and his twisted mind eliminated from our society. Failing that, we should at least make sure that he doesn't pass on whatever caused his defect through genetics or example.

I have complex PSTD..depression and dissociation and I do consider psychopaths trash and say it out loud I hate psychopaths.
Psychopathy is not a mental illness.It is a toxic personality issue and it does not respond to treatments of any kind . Mental illness and psychiatric injuries like PSTD, or DID etc. DO respond to mental help treatments.

Why do I disdain psychopaths because contact with psychopaths during childhood and adulthood injured my mind. And because I don't want mentally ill people continually lumped in with psychopaths,Because mentally ill people still have a conscience.Psychopaths never had one.

It comes in many forms and severities.

Having a mental illness does not somehow qualify you to call psychopaths trash. It doesn't.

These illnesses are a result of forces beyond the control of the subject.

There is no requirement that a disorder be able to be treatable in order for it to be considered a mental illness. There are plenty of different types of mental illnesses that are incurable or untreatable.

You are right, it is not like schizophrenia or PTSD. But that doesn't mean that it isn't a mental illness.
