Fleet Week in San Francisco. Blue Angels are screaming overhead.
So I'm at work today and I hear fighter jets practically breaking the sound barrier over my office. It's really nerve wracking.

Imagine living in Kabul and actually thinking that they might bomb you.

2. Yeah, I know what you mean. I live near Vandenberg AFB and between
the jets breaking the sound barrier, the shooting off of Titan and other types of rockets, and the military helicopters on maneuvers, it gets a bit unnerving at the times they are doing it, which is not that frequently, thank the gods.

3. I LOVE hearing and watching the Blue Angels! When I was a kid they used
to 'park' at Sand Point Naval Air Base in Seattle -- right down the hill and my dad was retired Navy Air, so we used to be able to go down and watch them take off and land. During the hydro races, we'd go to a friend's house on Lake Washington and they performed right in front of us. I get excited just thinking about them!

But you have a good point, I'm not living in Kabul and I know they're not a threat to our lives. :(

4. It's cool when you're actually watching them.
When they sneak up on you, it's really weird.

5. They were here in PA a few years ago. they flew right over our house on
several times. We were sitting on the patio, watching them - absolutely amazing skill.
Worthwhile tax dollars.

10. Just wait until next week when you're at Pike's Place Market getting some fresh fried donut holes...
Then WHAM! A sonic boom breaks the morning serenity.

That's what I always do when I go to Seattle.

14. Just because you get the jokes from a movie made in 1986 doesn't mean you're old.
I'm 29 and I grew up watching that movie.

Or is that what you mean by old?

Crap. In 6 months I'm going to turn 30.
