Just discovered my most "personal responsibility", libertarianish GOP neighbor
has to have "family care" health insurance because he's self-employed and can't afford private insurance premiums. I'm glad his family has insurance. But how do people like this not see the irony?

3. It does indeed. He even rants about Obama's "government takeover of health care".
All I can do is shake my head.

Libertarian Reluctantly Calls Fire Department
APRIL 21, 2004 | ISSUE 40•16

CHEYENNE, WY—After attempting to contain a living-room blaze started by a cigarette, card-carrying Libertarian Trent Jacobs reluctantly called the Cheyenne Fire Department Monday.

"Although the community would do better to rely on an efficient, free-market fire-fighting service, the fact is that expensive, unnecessary public fire departments do exist," Jacobs said. "Also, my house was burning down."

Jacobs did not offer to pay firefighters for their service

9. Family Care == S-CHIP?
Perhaps you might like to explain the term as it was new to me.

FamilyCare offers healthcare coverage to parents living with their children 18 years old or younger. FamilyCare also covers relatives who are caring for children in place of their parents.

From the FamilyCare website: http://www.familycareillinois.com/

Basically, it's for parents of kids who are on All-Kids, the Illinois version of S-CHIP. So, this guy's kids are on S-CHIP, and he and his wife are on FamilyCare.
