Measures that should be taken following the Va. Tech shootings.
Edited on Mon Apr-16-07 11:57 PM by Bleachers7
Today's shootings are tragic and frightening, but Americans should not have to live in fear. Here are some measures that should be taken to prevent this from happening again:

1. Metal Detectors on all doors. Any door that is a door should be protected with a metal detector.
2. Emails should be made available to be read by the government without a warrant.
3. Random searches of people should be completely legal. Cops may go all the way down to strip searches on demand if they must.
4. Web surfing records should be parsed and submitted to the government by ISP's weekly or better.
5. Phone calls should be monitored without a warrant by the request of police.
6. News stories about tragic events should be cleared by the government.
7. People should be arrested indefinitely for crimes they thought about committing.
8. Guns should no longer be sold to average citizens.

1. The average citizen has one ball and one tit
So selling gunz to regular men and women will still be OK.

I remember one going off at noon every day on the military base I grew up on. It was the way they tested it.

I'll bet BushCo. are mighty pissed off that the killer wasn't Muslim. We'd be under marshal law right now if he was.

Then let God sort it out.

I'll play it safe and say lets not make any rash decision based on the tragedy at Virginia Tech today.

18. Gah! You forgot LOTS of record keeping databases.
If a punk gets onto one database, share it with the others because he will offend again on one of them! And if he defies the odds and never offends again? Shoot, he got on one list, he needs watching anyway.

Oh! And lets put a poster of our leader in every classroom, with maybe a song of homage they can sing, too.... Sound right?

So no one can ever kill anyone, ever again.

We can't give up freedom for safety or "the terrorist will have won". Bad things are going to happen in a free society; we cannot protect ourselves from everything unless we have a complete police state (which sounds like your suggestions actually).

Not just no, but hell, no.

Ok, I get that you are not serious but I'll bet someone will propose those ideas soon.
