7. i guess we can all be glad that we all like different things
imagine if we all wanted to live in the city or all wanted to be rural, personally i get concrete sick after being in any urban area for a while but my buddy used to get agrophobic unless he had buildings all around...

15. if everyone lived where it's only grass and stones, there'd be no grass and stones left.
urban centers protect wild places.

16. yup that was my point, id hate to have everyone in the city decide to move to the mountains
very quickly it would be overun and would not be wild anymore...

17. i've actually been mooning over downtown condos in Orlando (where i'm at now)
and the reason why, is in Central Florida one the best things nature-wise is our storms -- weather watching. which, is really hard to do from the ground. i'd love to live just a few stories higher to get the view, the clouds, the lightning and the beautiful blue sky.

i'd do it in a heartbeat if i didn't have dogs who need their inside/outside life.

19. yup i am a couple of thousand feet up and love to watch the thunderstorms roll in
my wife laughs at me as even here i need to sleep outdoors at least a couple of nights a week or i start to get stircrazy... the only times i have had to stay in urban areas i have had major issues with adjusting to all the construction and noise..

20. it's funny, when i knew i was leaving Nashville i went on a coast-to-coast road trip
with my dog. car camped all over the southwest, California, Colorado and some of the 'flyover' states. and everywhere i went i asked how the thunderstorms were. turns out, there's not many storms in the desert! who knew? i grew up in Central Florida, and, there's nothing i love more than a violent thunderstorm.

it was not on my agenda, but i ended up right where i was born in the heart of thunderstorm land.

18. But if *everyone* moves there, then it is all gone ...
and the cycle repeats itself again.

Better to leave the wild wild.

12. Sometimes it seems like Minneapolis is all park
but it's only about 16%.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minneapolis#Parks_and_recreation.

Minneapolis tore down so many historic buildings, but at least we have good parks.
