Peace prize woes
Imagine? ;-)

Crazy as the world is, health care becomes a threat to the well being of society and the Nobel Peace Prize develops into something I'm not _quite_ sure has anything to do with the intention of the award, nor the conditions under which the committee works. Amidst the speculations in either direction, it is important to remember that in a normal world this could be seen as a pat on the back, yeah even a fistbump, from European democracy to American democracy. The Nobel committee has some integrity, proven through many years of storm :D. And peace isn't war, this has nothing to do with hostile intentions. You don't do war with peace, it's an appeal for understanding.

1. The world the GOP has created is evil. We should celebrate Obama's win.
The GoP world: vulture capitalism, homelessness, tax dodgers, war profiteers, torture, assasinations, lying America into war, legalized usury, naked credit default swaps, Rush Limbaugh, homophobia, racism, stolen elections, calling the U.S. Constitution a "damn piece of paper," .....

The only thing that has stood in opposition to the GOP's evil is Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize. The act of awarding the prize is more powerful than the prize. Good is winning, again.

2. It's totally weird, look at this reaction .... the Taliban says he's doing nothing for peace
"The Taliban scoffed at Obama's shock Nobel prize award on Friday, suggesting his policy towards Afghanistan barely differed from that of ex-president George W. Bush.

"We have seen no change in his strategy for peace," said Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Islamic fundamentalist militants.

"He has done nothing for peace in Afghanistan," Mujahid told AFP. "He has not taken a single step for peace in Afghanistan or to make this country stable.""

Some times the world is surreal :D
This movement is for sure doing nothing to contribute to peace, to the contrary.

Rush Limbaugh, the Taliban and Fox agree about this, they don't wanna see democracy win in Afghanistan, because that means peace, and those people are committed to war. Committed to war and surrealism, I would say.

It's worth noting that the controversy about this award is purely media driven, commentators quoting commentators and creating a stir. Not on the day of the award, but the day after. They sure didn't see this coming. The committee chairman has commented the reaction as 'strange, but expected'.
