The future of NBC Universal remains in flux, and now, News Corp. and Liberty Media have expressed interest in a possible stake in the company, according to reports from CNBC.

NBCU, which is 80 percent owned and controlled by General Electric Co., has been rumored to be looking at a deal with Comcast that would have the company 51 percent owned by Comcast and 49 percent owned by GE.

3. Liberty Media Is Not Faux...
Just as bad...it's the company that operates Comcast and a deal to control NBC would give the company a horizontal monopoly...controlling the major means of production and distribution of the network's programming. One would hope such a sale would be scrutinized heavily and the FCC rules against approving such a sale.

Regaridng faux and newscorpse...they may want to buy and play, but the logistics would be a nightmare. To take control of NBC, they'd surely have to sell their exsiting network and stations or be in violation of cross-ownership rules. But first things first, the company has been bleeding money between their overpriced acquisition of the WSJ and falling revenues in almost everyone one of their ventures.

6. Maybe the frickn Democrats can do something to stop all anti-monoply laws that
they so successfully helped the republicans accomplish starting with reagan, and ending with Bill Clinton signing the Telecommunications Act of 1996
