for fact checking SNL but letting the GOP and conservatives walk all over them with lies. Not to mention not reporting on the march on DC yesterday.

He laid tire tracks over their face. That was pure unadulterated Daily Show at it's finest.

They say what everyone is thinking. Or what many are afraid to say. Just fantastic.

legitimate matters (with understanding) than 90% of the news outlets we must endure. Stewart is a genius... and this is not something I would have said a week ago. I was sick last week and had my fill of the History channel, National Geog., msnbc (which SUCKS on the weekends), etc. so I found the plethora of clips of the Daily Show online.... Jon Stewart is truly under-appreciated - at least he has been by me.... I don't know if it's his writers or he himself come up with these pearls of wisdom (wisdom/comedy).

Being on Pacific time, I never remember to see TDS life - but I catch it a day late. That said, it is far more formidable and accurate than most opinion journalism... there's nothing like truth being offered with humor in a way that ensures both are presented with emotional honesty.
It's better than the networks (it's more honed than TYT - who I really love.

Jon Steward has used humor to expose the realities (in part) of the insanity of politics. No one does it better.

Then again,, he calls himself a "fake" news show - but has people like Elizabeth Warren on... and has a substantive, important interview with her... (with a few jokes just to make him feel like a comic) but Stewart is *amazing* with the most intellectual, learned, high-ranking guests he has on - he knows his stuff... that isn't an act. Stewart is a gift to anyone who gives a damn. : )
