I know this doesn't matter to anyone but me BUT

A year ago October 27, I had a mastectomy. And it struck me today, yesterday was my 18th wedding anniversary and on our 17th anniversary we didn't know where we would be this year. And a year later I am cancer free with a 90% chance of staying that way. So all I am saying is YAY! :party:

My best friend and my sister in law both were diagnosed a few years ago, and both are cancer free today. You make three success stories, and that THRILLS me. Thank you for sharing, and congratulations!

My mom was a breast cancer survivor & got a clean bill of health after 5 years with no recurrence anywhere! She died decades later unrelated.

You might check into taking Resveratrol to keep it from coming back if you are off chemo now. Good luck. :)

I am on Tamoxifen for 5 years- then I don't know if I will be on something else. But I will take anything to keep this crap away!!!

My mother had her second mastectomy at age 80, in August we celebrated her 90th birthday.

I was given 50 per cent chance to live after a lumpectomy etc. and it has been 20 years. Just live your life--a long and happy one!

You've beaten all kinds of odds.

My husband and I have actually been together for 24 years because we started dating in college in 1985! And I can honestly say I am crazy in love with him!

My father was treated for Prostate cancer last year as well. He is also cancer free with a great prognosis. It feels great when you or a loved one gets another chance at life. I am happy for you.

My mother died of breast cancer a little less than 41 years ago, and the strides that have been made on fighting and BEATING this disease since then are incredible. Congratulations to you and all the other cancer survivors that have replied to you.

My wife got the shattering news 8½ years ago. Two operations, heavy chemo, radiation and rehab (and 11 months) later,
she came back to me, looking very much like she had gone through an ordeal like the one she had been through. Now,
she is (so far, and we'll take for as long as it stays that way) cancer-free, like you, and looks fabulous.

Here's cheering you on to be able to say the same thing!!

I was diagnosed with breast cancer 13 years ago! Okay, it was only at stage 2, and I only had 2 lumpectomies and radiation (refused chemo!), but today, I am still clear!

So. . .more and more of us are long term survivors to prove to the world that breast cancer is NOT the end of life!!!

She hasn't had any problem since. At least not with that. The dementia is another story.

I have a friend whose wife is facing cancer at this moment. I'm gonna pass your happy ending to him. He needs bucking up.

but my "anniversary" tends to slip right by me. I usually remember a couple weeks later. 12 years last month!

Plan something special for the 27th. You deserve it!
