School Sends Sick Child Home With Stranger
BEAVERTON, Ore. -- A 6-year-old girl who became sick at school was sent home with a stranger after an error by school staff, according to the girl's mother, KPTV in Portland, Ore., reported.

Trisha Bahr said employees at Reedville Elementary School looked up the wrong name and called the wrong person when her daughter, Juliana, became ill last week. Bahr said the man who was called showed up at the school, took her child to his home and then realized his mistake.

"How did this happen? And how did this person not know they didn't have their own grandchild?" Bahr asked. "I don't understand it. I don't understand how the mix-up happened."

The Hillsboro School District released a statement that said it is "conducting an investigation into the situation." School officials would not otherwise comment due to confidentiality requirements and because they were still in the fact-finding stage.

The girl's family remained baffled Tuesday on how the man continued the school employee's mistake.

6. Sometimes the contact pages can be confusing based on how they are printed out
And plus, a lot of parents are split, so you know. They probably had some kid retrieve the number too from the rolls (I used to do that)

But the guy who actually took the kid home...creepy

3. that man needs to learn how to question authority
just because the school says it's your kid doesn't make it true.

4. Sounds like grandpa needs new glasses
Or else his family needs to have a nice talk with him about ever looking after the grandkids again.

9. Maybe he went to get her and did not recognize her
Alarmed and embarrassed, either thinking he was getting senile or that he just hadn't seen the grandkids often enough lately, he brings her home.

But pretty soon he realizes this child really is not his granddaughter and he alerts the school.

He must be blushing SOOO much right now!
