BHO is no TR...
Teddy Roosevelt was known as the "trust-buster". Can you imagine what he would say and do about the big banks and the big insurance companies robbing the American people?

There can be no real reform until the insurance companies are brought under the anti-trust laws. They are presently exempt. We have monopolies and oligopolies operating without any oversight to speak of. Will Barack Obama act like Teddy Roosevelt?

1. It's about reinforcing existing economic power structures or diversifying economic decision making.
FDR diversified economic power decision making.

So did TR.

2. TR would have never allowed it to go this far
the cork would have been stuck back in the bottle a long time ago.

The bank bailout, etc. would have never occurred and we would not be in the mess we are in right now.

BO is absolutely not a TR, NO WAY NEVER.

:kick:

7. Looks like Sen. Schumer is on it...
...see this thread:

"This morning, Sen. Schumer is going to say, in light of the insurance industry report warning premiums will rise under reform, that Dems should push to revoke the health insurance industry's antitrust exemption as a floor amendment."

Here's hoping this goes somewhere!
