The accused beat the guy practically unconcious, and then decided it would be a good idea to set him on fire, too. The victim died from his burns, and we gave the guy second degree murder.

These kids should be put away for a long, long time.

I cannot imagine someone being tortured so heinously over an alleged $40 debt. The perps are sociopaths who need to be locked away forever.

hell, I love it in that Carl Hiaasen sort of way. It's one of the things that makes Florida great. But when you start equating the state's eccentricity with horrifying acts like this, it just pisses me off.

shocking and horrific news stories comes from our sunshine state and I would say it even if I were not an ex resident.

Bastards. Bullies. Sociopaths. Lock them up for a long, long time. When they get out if prison they should have to support their victim for rhe rest of their lives.

There were 2 boys in my son's scout troop who bullied a younger kid (kicked him while he was on the ground). The troop leaders took it very seriously and sentenced one kid to 100+ hours of community service. That kid has shown no remorse and explained his actions by saying, "Boys will be boys." A lot of us are hoping he doesn't come back, tho scouting would've good for him. The devil. I think some people are born without the genetic makeup for empathy and remorse.
