Reverse trick or treating--give away chocolate for fair trade
Edited on Thu Oct-15-09 06:45 AM by eridani
Join us for "Reverse Trick-or-Treating"

Chocolate, mmm so yummy but at the heart of what's wrong with our trade agreements. Too often chocolate production exploits child labor and worker's rights. So we'll be walking the streets of Tacoma to hand out "fair trade" chocolate and educating our neighbors about trade agreements and their impact on working families. Bring your costume!

We'll be meeting at First United Methodist Church and canvassing the local neighborhood on Saturday, October 24th at 3pm.

See the KOMO 4 coverage from our last adventure in Reverse Trick-or-Treating:

1. is the chocolate any good, thats the selling point
people buy the candy that they like regardless, for me nothing tastes better than a milky way or a turkish delight...

3. depends if thats what you like, beer wise i like the crap beers
apart from a couple of brews, you know that you will never get people to give up their favourite chocobars unless you hold a gun to their head..

4. Understood, but we won't join in.
We prefer to give out comic books for Halloween.

But good luck with the endeavor.

5. Guess who doesn't have kids! The people doing THIS.
Oh yeah. This would go over REAL BIG with my boys. No, we're not going to people to get candy like all of the kids you go to school with, we're buying candy and giving it out to educate those about trade agreements. It's really important...
