OPEN LETTER To Limbaugh: What’d You Say About SLAVERY
From NewsOne:

Dear Rush Limbaugh,

One year ago, I made a post called Top 10 Racist Limbaugh Quotes, <http://newsone.com/obama/top-10-racist-limbaugh-quotes/> after you decided to say that Colin Powell’s endorsement of Barack Obama was all about race. I thoroughly researched your background and history as a Top 40 shock jock and right wing mouthpiece to find some of your other comments about race.

I guess your racism has finally came back to haunt you. Too bad, you won’t be an NFL owner. <http://newsone.com/entertainment/sports-entertainment/commisioner-says-nfl-wont-tolerate-divisive-limbaugh/> Why would you want to buy a team full of Black men who look like the Bloods and the Crips anyways?

I realize you probably thought that your comments would never come back to hurt you. Given that Blacks are only 12% on the population, “who cares?”

I’ve read on your site that you’re distancing yourselves from the racist comment about slavery that I attributed to you in my Top 10 Racist Limbaugh Quotes. Here’s what you said:

Dawn said to me during the break here, “You didn’t deny what they’re saying you said about slavery!” I’m not going to dignify it by denying it. Deny it? (The old trick of not dignifying an allegation because you know its true. Just deny it if you didn’t say it)

And, you know, you say a lot of things in the course of 15 hours a week, over the course of 21 years. We’ve gone back, we have looked at everything we have. There is not even an inkling that any words in this quote are accurate. It’s outrageous, but it’s totally predictable.

Maybe if you went back further to your career as shock jock, Jeff Christie, 30 years ago, you might have better luck finding the quote.

If you are certain you never made those comments, I suggest you sue Jack Huberman and his publisher, Nation Books for libel, as you are quoted in his book, 101 People Who Are Really Screwing America, saying:

I mean, let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back; I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.

The same quote can be found in a blog by Jack Huberman in The Huffington Post from 2006.<http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jack-huberman/rush-limbaugh-is-still-sc_b_24724.html>

Given libel laws, if you did not say this, you should file a lawsuit and clear your name, as it was printed in a book as well as a popular website. If you successfully sue for libel, I will promptly remove the quote from my Top 10 Racist Limbaugh Quotes and replace it with one of your many other racist comments.

I don’t buy your humor excuse for your racist comments. A racist joke is still racist. Consistently, Black people are the butts of your jokes. The points of your jokes are not that racism is funny or wrong. The points of your jokes are that Black people are inferior to white people.

If you were an actor playing a fat racist, right wing bigot, like Cobert or Sasha Baron Cohen playing Stephen Colbert or Borat, you’d be one of my favorite comedians. But you aren’t, and the millions of people who listen to you and follow your racist Republican views believe you’re the real deal, and take on your racist views as their own.

Anyways, here’s my Top 10 Racist Limbaugh Quotes, complete with their sources.<http://newsone.com/obama/top-10-racist-limbaugh-quotes/> If you have any problem with any of the quotes, I suggest you contact the sources.

If the slavery quote attributed to you is false, I humbly apologize, Hopefully you will apologize for the other nine racist quotes that are fully verified, which you have not denied, as well as the many other racist comments you have made in your career.

For the sake of the millions of people who blindly follow you, I hope you didn’t make that comment about slavery. Still it falls in line with your tradition of racist rhetoric, so I am hardly surprised that you would’ve said it.

Sincerely

Casey Gane-McCalla

1. Why fricking bother?
Even if he read it, he's just make fun of it on air and his hooting jackhole know-nothing fans, who seem to think that Rush is a professior of economics and political science at the same time and not just a sports DJ that found the perfect outlet to make money hand over fist, will nod their heads and ignore your words.

7. If Casey can't conduct himself like an adult, then there are others to read of greater value.

9. You know, he wasn't saying 'fatty fatty fatty' -
he was using the word 'fat' (which he used just once, 3/4 the way through the piece) as an accurate physical descriptor. He could have used the medical term 'obese' - would that be better? As a fat person myself, I prefer 'fat' to 'obese'. And I don't deny its truth.

What's your problem with reality?

11. What does Limbaugh's weight have to do with his actions? Casey has buck teeth...
Edited on Thu Oct-15-09 10:13 AM by imdjh
.... and beady eyes in addition to being clearly mixed race and a little effeminate not to mention the pretentious hyphenated surname. All accurate descriptors, but what exactly does any of that have to do with the issues?

I thought that part of what we are about is not making nasty remarks about a person's appearance (other than choices in clothing, obviously).

3. Karma. Rush, you dumbass, did you seriously think your words wouldn't come back
and bite you in the ass someday? You're a bigger idiot than I thought.

"In an e-mail to The Associated Press, Limbaugh said he was forced to respond because “the totally made-up and fabricated quotes attributed to me in recent media reports are outrageous and slanderous.”

EVERYONE knows you've said these things *and more.*

4. Yes Rush, words do matter
Big smackdown from the NFL. Now he can whine away about it for the rest of his life.

6. Rush is famous for saying "Words mean things." It will be interesting to see what he says his words
... mean.

8. I'm sure we haven't heard the last from Rush's attempt to purchase a
professional sports team franchise. I don't believe for one nano second that he has surrendered his quest to own a pro team.

10. I do so enjoy the irony
A screaming racist that can't do what he really wants--own an NFL team of mostly black guys. Held to account by HIS OWN well-documented statements of--racism--and he won't get to do it! You can't make this up!

12. He can buy a lawn service or a roofing company.
Edited on Thu Oct-15-09 10:11 AM by imdjh
But what he wants is the respect that goes with the money and that's not going to happen. The man owns the most expensive home in Palm Beach and what good does it do him? The Jews in north Palm Beach don't want anything to do with him and the WASPS in south Palm Beach don't even want his money for charity.

He needs some counseling from Joan Rivers or someone else with more money than respect.
