2. That sucks...too bad she wasn't nominated before O'Connor and had the
privilege of being the first woman justice, instead of the intellectually inept, ideological twit from Arizona.

3. OConnor often kept Scalia, Thomas and Rehnquist from going off the deep end.
..without her, the conservatives now on the court are completely unmoored from reality. She wasn't a liberal, but she wasn't a total asshat either--at least, most of the time. Towards the end of her tenure, she really began moving away from the nutzoid right wing interpretations of the law that we are now seeing from the Roberts court. Too bad she didn't figure it out sooner.

Hoping for the best for Justice Ginsburg. She has done a principled and magnificent job over the years.
