The repuke witchhunt for Kevin Jennings is full on:

53 Republicans demand firing of 'safe schools czar' Kevin Jennings
By Michael O'Brien - 10/15/09 12:11 PM ET

Fifty-three House Republicans have written President Barack Obama asking him to remove "safe schools czar" Kevin Jennings from that position.

The lawmakers accused Jennings of "pushing a pro-homosexual agenda" and said that Jennings's past writings exhibit a record that makes him unfit for the position.

"We respectfully request that you remove Kevin Jennings, the Assistant Deputy Secretary for the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools, from your Administration," the Republicans wrote. "It is clear that Mr. Jennings lacks the appropriate qualifications and ethical standards to serve in this capacity."

Jennings has come under scrutiny from conservative personalities like talk show host Sean Hannity for his handling of an alleged incident involving underage sex, as well as Jennings's own reported personal history with drugs and alcohol — charges the GOP members echoed.

The letter was primarily assembled by Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), and was joined by 53 Republican colleagues, including two members of leadership: House Republican Conference Chairman Mike Pence (Ind.) and House Republican Conference Vice Chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.).

1. Now we wait and see if Obama will back him up
I say there's a 50/50 chance that Jennings might be gone before the end of the month, because he'll be asked to fall on his sword and take one for the team.

Anyone else???

Come on now you know we're all thinking it!!!

5. Mike Pence, good friend of Erik Prince of Blackwater
Now, since they are demonstrating this kind of concern over the suitability of people in positions of power, can Democrats get together and demand that the Republican leadership remove some of their own clearly not suitable members of Congress?

This is not the only target of their on-going witch-hunts. They are also after Patrick Gaspard, Obama's Director of Political Affairs. I forget why they think he is not suitable.

Once they found it so easy to get rid of Van Jones and ACORN, it was obvious they would not stop there. They are also targeting SEIU.

I'm waiting for Democrats to respond to Rep. Grayson's (and others' now) demands that if ACORN can be defunded, the law requires that Corporations that actually have been found guilty of crimes and corruption, and there are quite a few, must be defunded also.

A good response to this ridiculous witch-hunt would be to renew that demand and to start a real investigation into which Corps have received funding even after having been found guilty of corruption. Otherwise, singling out ACORN is unconstitutional.

I hope Democrats have learned that if you don't stand up to these bullies, as Grayson did, they will never stop. They have a long list, and they are checking it off as the Dems cave to their demands.
