Are Insurance Agents involved in end of life counseling with loved ones?

I recall Doctor's discussing options with us five years ago when my Dad was just about gone but I don't recall any insurance involvement.

do they sit down and actually spend time with family members and chat about options. I know what their motives are but do they go through the motions?

Nope.

They look at how much the cost of your care impacts their bottom line.

It's a scam. I temped at John Hancock/Manulife years ago and had to sit through their traing classes. They dealt in annuities and 401k's etc which is a little different than health insurance. They were pretty brazen in their info sessions teching folks how the business is very profitable in that they take your wealth and fight tooth and nail to pay it back.
