Nancy Pelosi Appreciation Thread
She has been very vocal in her support of a strong public option for a long time and she is working hard to put the insurance companies on notice. She is not taking and crap from anybody. I am so glad that we have her as speaker. She has been a very strong leader (unlike our "leader" in the Senate) on this and I think very under appreciated. Can we give Speaker Pelosi some love?

3. Credit where credit is due
not great on taking impeachment off the table during the Bush years but health care has been number one for me for a long time and she's doing a great job on this. I just think we need to let her know that we appreciate what she's doing.

4. I think we can say thank you to her for keeping the public option alive
. . . rather than acting like Senator Boughtkus.

Her failure to impeach is old news now.

7. Considering what has been said about Pelosi here in the past, an appreciation thread is surprising.
With Pelosi, as with Obama, talk is easy. I look forward to results.

10. My first thought too. She needs to get her "mandate w/o choice?" message out
more. I'd love to see her on all the Sun. AM shows.

9. I appreciate her supporting the public option.
But how hard is that for the House Majority Leader?

You know we could still impeach Bush/Cheney. If convicted they would lose their retirement benefits. Canw we, Nancy? Pleeeeeeease?

12. I support Pelosi
I've always thought she does the best she can with her caucus. I know she is very liberal and progressive in her positions, though she doesn't always act on her beliefs.

13. For me, she's back to "even"
She was a favorite of mine when she was named Speaker.

I was, for a time, her last living, breathing supporter.

Then I abandoned her too for that "off the table" bullshit.

I like what she's been doing with respect to health care. But, in an overall sense, that just gets her back to even with me.
