Did You Know GM made cars in India?
I didn't until I downloaded an Indian paper. I don't know what the price is in dollars.

GM India has launched its latest mid-level sedan in India, the Chevrolet Cruze. The car has been introduced at an aggressive price tag of Rs 10.99 lakh for the Cruze LT variant and Rs 12.45 lakh for the fully loaded LTZ variant, both prices ex-showroom Thane.
Hyundai i20

It seems that GM India has sensed the lack of a good diesel option in this space, since the Cruze has been launched exclusively with the 2-litre diesel engine. The 2.0 VCDi has been seen before in Chevrolet Captiva. The 1,991cc inline-4 engine sports 16V operated by a single overhead cam and churns out very impressive power and torque figures, rated at 150PS @ 4,000rpm and 327Nm @ 2,600rpm respectively.

7. It doesn't matter
Some people on DU will find ANYTHING about GM to complain about. If there's nothing that day to criticize, they'll complain about hypothetical things.

12. I test drove a Ford made in Turkey
Ford Transit, called the 'white van' in Europe. Rumor it will be made (assembled) at the idled Fremont, California Ford plant when the economy kicks into high gear. 6,000 ford workers are hoping this happens soon.

8. Yeah, looking at the country of origin for the company
doesn't necessarily tell you anything about where the cars are built, or more often their components are built.

No such thing as an american car company, or german, or japanese, etc.

9. Would you put up price comparisons between both countries? Are they getting special treatment?
Or are prices equal?
