Dr. Dave Gorski reports on a stunning miscarriage of justice: Two nurses face possible jail time because they filed an anonymous complaint against a doctor who was peddling natural remedies out of the ER of their small rural hospital in Kermit, TX.

1. The whole story defies belief

and hinges on a sheriff who was in business with the doctor they were complaining about getting their names by falsely claiming he was investigating the doctor.

This one stinks out loud and a lot of heads are going to roll over it, including those in hospital administration who failed to act on complaints and who then fired the nurses.

Every single bit of law is on the side of the nurses, even in Texas.

Rural areas are often stunningly corrupt, even worse than some cities.
