It'd be interesting to see what their opinion was now that they've been through that same kind of discrimination.

edited for spelling in the headline, makes a lot more sense now.

2. what it means is...
we look at this case with the idiot judge deciding on his own personal 'values' *cough* that interracial marriages are not 'right'. and I have yet to hear anyone defend him, it's only natural to look on him as a relic/bigot/rascist asshole that he is...

but those who think that marriage between 2 men or 2 women is somehow 'wrong' are still in the same cobwebs of a damaged mind as that idiot judge.

5. I doubt you'll find too many here that would disagree
This is an issue that comes as close to a consensus as you'll find on DU.

Gay marriage of today is the miscegenation of 50 years ago.

Same bullshit tune. Different words.

8. And I'm just curious as to what the couple denied the license would
say about others marriages being recognized. What did they think before this happened and has their opinion changed because of it.

3. News outlets aside....
I wish certain DUers would would realize the double standard going on regarding the rights of homosexuals in this country. But ignorance is apparently bliss, so I'm not holding my breath for it.

6. Yes, it is a reminder of what happens when you subject enforcement of laws to personal beliefs.
