After all of the air time Liz Cheney has been given on Morning Joe and some of the other MSNBC daytime programs, her new group, the ironically named "Keep America Safe" is running an ad saying that Chris Matthews, Ed Schultz and Keith Olbermann are afraid to debate her.

Looking forward to the lily-livered liberal network crew’s response to this one. Maybe they’ll invite her on again a bunch more times to discuss her contempt for them.

Also, I couldn't help but notice that Liz Cheney's ad targets Olbermann, Matthews, and Schultz, but seems to have left out one high-profile MSNBC host: Rachel Maddow. Indeed, Rachel has invited Liz Cheney onto her show many, many times, and yet, Cheney has declined every opportunity.

To borrow a phrase, why doesn't Liz Cheney want to talk substance? Why doesn't she want to debate the issues?

Olbermann doesn't host too many from the dark side, but I doubt he has an aversion to it. But, Keith doesn't seem to attract very many Grover Norquist/Dick Cheney caliber guests very often, does he?

Liz avoids talking about her personal life at all costs. She probably thinks Rach would grill her about being gay, having children, marrying and issues related to those things. Liz wants to control the agenda of any interview she gives. Rachel probably would never go along with any guidelines.

I'm sure if Ed Schultz sees this, he will invite her on. He's not afraid to debate RW nutjobs and I'm sure he's not afraid of her. I think the fact that she doesn't want to dust it up with Rachel is because her sister Mary is gay and maybe has asked her not to. I'm just speculating about this of course because I don't know Liz Cheney's mind or Mary's for that matter.

Remember when Palin was going to debate Biden? Joe practiced his debate with a female (can't remember who) so as not to offend the sensibilities of any woman during the debate. to death in her last round of media appearances and she wasn't invited back. So, like her cowardly, lying father, she says stuff that she thinks will get her invitations to come back on television. She's desperately trying to protect her war criminal father from prosecution.

I don't think she has to worry about that happening under this administration. We may have to wait for a new administration sometime in the future, or hopefully the international community will take care of it since we are no longer a country that abides by the law.

I have no doubt that Rachel would eat her alive and spit out the bits and pieces left over. But, like so many of us online, I take what I read with a grain or two or twenty of salt. I checked out several of the links at the crooksandliars link that you provided but not one had real evidence that Rachel had indeed extended that invitation.

I do think that because both are female, Rachel would kick butt in that televised confrontation, should it ever occur.

It was a gem of a show. Joan's contempt of Cheney was obvious and deserved.

The moderator, a guest host, was foolish - tried to get the two to find common ground. LOL
