The Republican Party is a "hoax".

Hoaxes need to be exposed and punished. A couple of weeks ago, a lady stepped out of a limo and walked into a Burlington coat factory and told everyone that she had just won the lottery and that all the coats were on her. People went berserk cramming the coats under their arms, all paid for by the lottery winner. But, she had not won the lottery. It was a hoax. She was taken away in a cop car.

A few days ago, a couple in Colorado frantically called 911 with the unbelievable story that their 6-year old son was in a runaway balloon. All the national networks were on the story. They had live pictures of a balloon that looked like a large flying saucer. When it finally landed, it was not that big. Also, there was no little boy on board. He had hidden in the attic, the parents said. Charges are now pending against the perpetrators of this hoax.

In 1980, Ronald Reagan told the Republicans and the American people that he could cut taxes and balance the budget. After his large taxcuts, he ran the largest deficits in history up to that time. Twenty years later, George W Bush told the people the same tale. He cut taxes like a mad man. Once again, the deficits sky-rocketed. He doubled the national debt in just two terms. He left the economy in shambles. The stock market dropped like a rock. It was obvious to anyone with two eyes that the Republican Party was primarily responsible for this disaster.

Now they are blaming everything on the new President. It is his wars and his economy and his deficits. They are back to their same old game - threats, slander, name-calling, and lies. The Republican Party has lied about every issue that affects the American people. They are a hoax. They should be punished also. They should be taken away in a police car.

We should pick up a few more House and Senate seats for President Obama's 2nd term.

between now and then. So far they are doing an epic job of squandering their supermajority at every opportunity. The GOP had their "contract on America" with only 52 seats, yet we can't even ram through a crap piece of insurance "reform" (corporate handout)? Please.

If the Repubs are put back in power anytime soon, we are doomed.
