Best news reporting ever!
Gotta love this article (and the comments that follow). A virtual how NOT to fill space in your small town newspaper.

2. Excellent! My favorite local news headline for the week:
Edited on Tue Oct-20-09 02:38 PM by MissB
(MissB's note: Mr. Dumas is not a well known person, so there is no real reason to use his last name in the title. The editors were being very funny, me thinks.)

Dumas turns himself in after leaving car on lawn

3. Calling Orly Taitz!
Can Barack Hussein Obama prove that he isn't in the car that's been pulled over? This looks like the smoking gun on the grassy knoll at the washed-out bridge on the motel balcony in the exclusive neighborhood that she's been looking for.

5. I love small town weeklies, in ours Crime Report is a very popular part
Some weeks it is written in a very boring way, other weeks they have fun with it. People search out "stupid crime of the week", but sometimes have to settle with "cow on road".

11. I remember years ago when the local Los Gatos paper
reported in the crime section that an old man was arrested for going to the bathroom in the park. He was arrested for...I'm not making this up...illegal dumping.

16. Very Funny comments
The comments are well worth clicking on this story. Good to see people following the Register-Star have a sense of humor. I'm just wondering how it is that such a boring paper has that many readers.

" This is one of the finest photos I've ever seen. You do the trade of journalism an incredible honor in running this photo. The drama, the sharpness of the detail. This is worthy of a national, nay, international, award. Thank you Register for comforting the afflicted. "

" This is the kind of crime that tears the city apart. It brings out what's savage in thousands of people. It has to be dealt with very quickly. "

" Has anyone contacted the major news outlets yet? I mean, CNN and FOX are going to be in a virtual bidding war over this event. Balloon Boy's got nothing on this. I can hear it now: Next up, "The Joslen Fiasco", a cautionary tale of young love gone wild, the trooper who foolishly stood in the way, and a lone bicyclist who could care less. "

" This is the kind of thing that WILL KEEP happening if we legalize gay marriage. "

17. I can't say for certain
but I suspect that the poor local grabbed the attention of the evil-doers over at FARK. The person who sent it to me is kinda addicted to it these days though he didn't say if came from there.

18. -- This sort of horrendous tragedy is what results from removing God from our schools.
-- This is the kind of thing that WILL KEEP happening if we legalize gay marriage

-- My cousin in Buffalo called, they have already heard of this and are prepared for anything. The town is on LOCKDOWN.

-- I wasn't alive when JFK was shot, and I was too hung over to remember the morning of 9/11/02, but I'll never forget where I was today. I just pray for the safety of all involved

-- This used to be a safe place to raise your kids

-- 10/20/09 Never Forget

-- I knew our streets were no longer safe the day the gave the polce guns

-- Was Falcon in the car?
