Story idea for an enterprising journalist
The VERY NEXT DAY after the Virginia Tech massacre, gun lobby folks were all over talk radio defending their notion of "gun rights." Coincidence? I think now.

It had all the hallmarks of a "quick response," prearranged PR campaign. The folks who do the PR for the gun lobby seemed to have had people all lined up to be activated in the event of a mass shooting. The response was too quick and too good to have been spontaneous.

There is a story behind the story here that would be worth investigating.
