F*CK F*CK F*CK-the Nephew of my friend, 18, died for BUSH"S LIES on Sunday
I am so angry and sad right now. He had only been there about six weeks, F*CK Bush and his "surge"....

Steven gave his life because he fell for the lies of B*SH and the recruiters.

His aunt was my son's homeschool teacher when my son was a freshman and sophmore in high school. The boys were the same age. I remember when his aunt was trying to educate her nephew about how this war is built on lies and that were other options for getting a college education. Unfortunately his mother was gung ho for the war....

I am giving my son an extra special hug tonight and glad that he has NO thoughts of ever voluntarily enlisting and has plans in the works if there is ever a draft.

up his training cycle and sent him way to early....

It's criminal sending these young men and women withought all of their training.

The * Cabal will burn in Hell for the crimes they have committed against the American people and the people of Iraq.

I am sorry.

11. 18 years old. HE WAS A BABY!
For what?

I swear, when the bush** administration are in chains at the Hague I think the one thing that they must be forced to do, up to AND INCLUDING torture, is to tell us if they feel good now. How much blood and bone and tissue does it take to make them feel like they really did something? Do they really feel like big men? Do they seriously think this obscenity of a murderfest in the Middle East made up for their craven cowardice when it was their turn to serve (but didn't)?

I just went to dinner with my daughter, Mom, grandson and son. We very rarely discuss politics because even though my Mom is old and sick I do come unglued when she defends blivet. I think she thinks I become unbalance or slightly unhinged. And maybe I do. But I notice tonight that when bush** & company came up she just put her head down and ate her dinner. A very wise decision because I was in no mood to listen to any shit in the first place.

Now this. This poor child. I think I'll go to bed.

27. You're so right, 18 years old...he was a baby,
I have two teenagers and their friends are in my home all of the time. Some are turning 18 this year. I can't imagine them in Iraq.

It breaks my heart, I think about it all of the time. ...I don't think I could take all this sadness anymore. ..This war is such a waste of lives, I hate it.

31. My nephew is also 18, in the Army, and will be heading to Ft. Hood soon.
Then, undoubtedly, it will be off to Iraq. I tried to warn him about this possibility when he signed up last summer, but he wouldn't listen. He was just looking forward to the benefits he will get when he gets out. Yeah, if he gets out or gets out in one piece. He may not be physically hurt, but my fear is that he will be psychologically destroyed. Damn, this kid does not even shave regularly yet.

I, too am angry and sad, for Steven, for his family, for you, and for all the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, husbands, wives, friends who have lost loved ones because we have an idiot child as the "decider."

I thank God every day that my children have no thoughts of enlisting. I can't even imagine what I'd do if they did, and they died for this moron's ego.

My heart goes out to you, fed-up.

34. Mommy was for the war?
Well, she's living the consequences. I can think of no experience more horrific for any kool-aid drinker than that. What a stupid waste.

And for anyone who wants to quibble like those pussy pols, damn right it's a waste. If a firefighter dashes into a burning building and gives his life trying to rescue a victim, that's a noble sacrifice. If he goes in there thinking there's someone but everyone is out and he still dies, it's still a sacrifice but an empty one since it accomplished nothing. But if you've got a pile of people outside and the fire chief doesn't get a headcount to see if anyone is missing before sending the guy back in and he dies, that's just a stupid pointless waste. The tragedy comes not just from the death itself but because it was also preventable and never should have happened. No slight on his heroism but he died for nothing. Friends and family might want to make it out to be bigger than what it is but it ain't. Pat Tilman's death wasn't a sacrifice, it was a stupid waste AND a coverup. Those who participated in that cowardice should be in jail for life.

How many more have to die?
How many more lies can we take

42. Can we stop those damned recruiting ads?
I work in TV. I can't stop the ads. But my stomach turns sick whenever I see these ads encouraging parents to "talk to your son or daughter about joining the Army."

I have no problem with people who want to serve their country. But is anyone who joins the armed forces today, in 2007, really serving their country?

It's time for some of the YouTube people, who can put together video, to put something together parodying these ads, mocking them, pointing out how wrong they are, and how soldiers are being lied to and sacrificed on an altar of greed.
