and the yankees are like the dallas cowboys of baseball...they like to think that they're 'america's team'- but outside their own city/market, pretty much everyone hates their guts.

24. I used to think that....
But the Yankees are actually good for baseball. They contribute more than any team to revenue sharing, which levels the playing field. And their out of state fans fill seats at stadiums around the country.

That said, I hate their f'in guts and I'm rooting for the Phillies.

Or if not them, then the Kansas City Athletics or the Washington Senators. But, seeing that none of them even made it to the playoffs, then I guess I don't have any dogs in this race.

I loved the Big Red Machine but then the strikes,pussy players, & too much expansion ruined it for me. I do see Single A games though but it has been a long time since I watched a complete game. I loved the game in the 60's and early 70's.
