1. I saw this report last night and had an experience with it years ago.

My mother was on Medicare(in Massachusetts) and kept getting statements from Florida about supplies billed to Medicare using her name. They were very expensive diabetic supplies and she never had diabetes.

I reported it,the statements kept coming,and I just gave up.

2. actually makes me nervous for a public option

but i see no reason why the grafts couldn't be fought against and eventually diminished. electronic records will help with a lot of this. we need to nationalize and digitize our medical records, no matter what comes of this health care reform debate.

3. Let me guess. No reporting of % fraud compared to total cost...

Churches tend to run about 2% fraud, and that's just what is eventually caught.
