85 found dead or killed in Iraq...life, & death goes on.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18162972/

BAGHDAD - Police in Ramadi uncovered 17 decomposing corpses buried beneath two schoolyards in a district that until recently was under the control of al-Qaida fighters. At least 85 people were killed or found dead across the country Tuesday.

The adult bodies were discovered in the Anbar provincial capital after students and teachers returned to the schools a week ago and noticed an increasingly putrid odor and stray dogs digging in the area, Police Maj. Laith al-Dulaimi said.

He said one body had not yet been recovered from a separate burial site behind one of the schools because authorities feared it was booby-trapped with a bomb.

-----In addition to the deaths in Baghdad and Ramadi, officials reported at least 42 other people were killed or found dead across Iraq Tuesday in nearly two dozen other violent incidents at sites that included Mosul, Fallujah, Baqouba and Tal Afar.

2. And we are supposed to be so upset and disturbed about VT.
Sorry everyone, I'm not.

I want for this nation to feel some real pain. It is the only way that true, honest change will come.

After 9/11 Bush encouraged everyone to go shopping and to take themselves and their families to Disneyland.

We as a nation, we quite simply have to wake up. We all have to start to care more about our lives and our children than going shopping, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Real World, Road Rules, good god everyone.

We are losing everything, how many more lit up all night long strip malls do we need?

Sorry for the ramble in advance.

It is way past time for us all to start paying some real attention.

4. From this article I have a sense of trememdous dread
I counted among the dead from various regions, 42, 25, and 85. That is 152 Iraqi deaths.

Aside the horrific death toll; There is an intuition that the Shiites and the Sunnis are going to join together to obtain their ultimate demand. That is the removal of the occupiers. I smell trouble for our poor, isolated, unsupported troops.

I am so afraid for them.

7. This IS the good news, Raptor.....
or the best they've got anyway. If they reported the really bad stuff people would start bleeding from their eyes and ears. It seems like a lot of senseless murder and mayhem, it's hard for Americans to understand all of it. The Iraqis have a word for it. Tuesday.

11. Did You See The PBS Special???
The Frontline program on how things got screwed up so bad in Iraq? It was on last night...and according to my television that was the American media and they were covering this travesty...and putting it together in a way that anyone can follow and understand. It was one of the most damning reports I've seen and shows how inept this invasion has been run and how clueless those running have been.

Iraq is problamatic for the corporate media. The country is so dangerous that the only way most of these networks get any stories are ones that are either fed to them by the military or done under the cover of heavily military protection...is this giving us a true picture of what's going on? Would you prefer to see a Kyra Phillips "I love soldiers" fluff piece? Unfortunately, most of this dirty war goes on away from the cameras.

The latest polls show 70% or more of the American people oppose this ugly invasion, but the only poll Repugnicans will listen to are the ones in November '08...to me that's the outrage.
