I bet this doesn't even get mentioned in the press. It sounds very much like propaganda...WMD found AND Iraqi forces taking over it's own security and LOOKEE..it is on the Iran border, so if anything goes wrong....:eyes:

BAGHDAD - Three separate explosions rocked Baghdad on Wednesday, killing at least 33 people and wounding dozens as violence climbed toward levels seen before a U.S.-led surge to pacify the capital.

Meanwhile, U.S. troops killed five suspected insurgents and captured 30 others in a raid in
Iraq's western Anbar province, a day after police uncovered 17 decomposing corpses beneath two school yards in the provincial capital.

The U.S. military also announced a discovery made nearly a week earlier — 3,000 gallons of nitric acid hidden in a warehouse in downtown Baghdad. U.S. forces found the acid, a key fertilizer component that can also be used in explosives, during a routine search Thursday, the military said.

Iraqi troops took charge of security Wednesday in the southern province of Maysan, a region that borders
Iran and the fourth province to come under full Iraqi security control since the 2003 U.S. invasion.

BAGHDAD, April 18 (Reuters) - A car bomb exploded in Baghdad's central Sadriya neighbourhood on Wednesday and a Reuters photographer at the scene said there were dozens of bodies, including many women and children.

Earlier, a car bomb in Baghdad's Shi'ite stronghold of Sadr City killed 30 people. At least five car bombs exploded in Baghad on Wednesday, hours after Shi'ite Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said his forces will take over security from U.S.-led forces by end-2007.

BAGHDAD, April 18 (Reuters) - Car bombs killed nearly 170 people in Baghdad on Wednesday in the deadliest attacks in the city since U.S. and Iraqi forces launched a security crackdown aimed at halting the country's slide into civil war.

One car bomb alone in the mainly Shi'ite Sadriya neighbourhood killed 118 people and wounded 139, police said.

The apparently coordinated attacks -- there were five within a short space of time -- occurred hours after Shi'ite Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said Iraq would take security control of the whole country from foreign forces by the end of the year.

More than 200 people were wounded in total.
