Yes, somebody will have to pay for this. And I say, IT'S ABOUT TIME. The fact that we don't take care of all our citizens is appalling. We need to make sure everybody has access to what is constantly touted as the "best in the world". However, I do agree with you on one part. This should not be funded on the backs of the middle class. We need to repeal all of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy and jack them up further. They are the lowest in decades right now. Back in the middle of the last century, they were 70% and above, yet nobody accused Truman or Eisenhower of "socialist agendas".

Enough with trying to appease the critics who will hate anything you try to do, no matter what it is. It is time for this country to at the VERY least have a strong, 50 state, no triggers, no opt ins or outs, TRUE PUBLIC OPTION, open to ANYBODY who wishes to stop being gouged by the private sector. If we can't have single payer, at least give us this, Senator Reid. Millions of Americans have instilled our confidence in you. Don't disappoint.
