Anyone else 'Call(ing) for Equality' in Maine?

(I hope the mods will allow this being cross-posted from the GLBT forum, since time is of the essence and this needs as much exposure as possible!)

I've been doing phone-banking from home for 'Call for Equality', the Courage Campaign’s GOTV effort to defeat the vile ‘Question 1′ on the ballot in Maine.

As I'm sure you all know, Question 1 is trying to repeal the legislature’s legalization of same-sex marriage. The law was written such that no individual or religious organization would have to perform a same-sex marriage, so Question 1 is purely about discrimination and homophobia.

Phone-banking from home is SUPER easy. They train you and give you a script. Their system even makes the call for you, so your own number never appears on anyone’s caller ID. The system is set up so you can easily record your call online. You can sign up for a shift or just make calls whenever you have a few spare minutes.

The list they are working off of should be all 'supporters', so it's really just a GOTV effort, especially encouraging people to go ahead and vote early. (Early voting is allowed w/out restriction in Maine.)

I'm still ashamed that my own state of VA has discrimination written into our constitution, but I hope my efforts will help same-sex Maine couples to enjoy the same rights I do as a married heterosexual.

7. Thanks for the kick. Our governor's race here in VA is BEYOND depressing.
I can't believe we went blue for the first time in my life and, according to the polls, we are about to put an American Taliban misogynist homophobe nutbag in the Governor's mansion one year later.

I've been working for Deeds (dem candidate) too, but it feels like banging my head against a wall. So, the No On 1 work feels a little more hopeful.
