Did Scozzafava release her supporters to Hoffman?
I haven't heard this, but apparently Fox Opinion is reporting it this way.

2. It's awful that a local woman with knowledge of the issues is battered by the likes of Palin
and the teabagging asshats.

4. Oh, and by the way, the next person who tries to sell me Sarah Palin as a "feminist", remember that
she went against another well woman, who was well qualified, for the sake of a thoroughly unqualified nutbag male.

3. In her official statement, she said her supporters are free to go either way
She did not herself endorse either candidate, or recommend her supports shift their support one way or another.

5. I feel for her. She sounded like a reasonable person
And compared to the nutbags who opposed her, she seems very moderate.

8. I donate to NY reps outside my district
We're all affected by each other.
I didn't donate to HER, mind you. I'm just saying, in NY I think it's okay to cross over and campaign in neighboring districts. Maybe it's true everywhere. *shrug*

9. So your point is that Palin is not really pushing the extreme right candidate?
Edited on Sat Oct-31-09 08:26 PM by Walk away
I don't know because My info comes second hand from the news desks at CNN, MSNBC, NBC etc. Now you tell me she is not endorsing either republican.

13. Palin
is endorsing Hoffman, running as a Conservative candidate - NOT as a Republican.
3rd Party guy who does not live in the district and (according to local newspaper who interviewed him) knows nothing of local issues.

14. There are no Republicans remaining in the race. Simple as that
Her name appears on the ballot, but she has suspended her campaign.

11. It's also not like a political convention
The voters aren't bound like convention delegates, and can vote for anyone they want.

15. Yes, but if she suggested that they vote for Hoffman, most of them would....
She did NOT.

12. She did NOT release supporters to Hoffman -
She did NOT even drop out of the race! She merely suspended her campaign (why bother with a few days to go?). Her name is still on the ballot - absentee ballots voting for her will be counted. Finally, many of her supporters will still vote for her - repeat: She did not drop out of the race.
